Michelle Renee Critser – Lord Give Me Strength

photo

I’m super excited to introduce you all to my friend Michelle Renee Critser. Michelle is 35 years old and is from Sarasota, Florida.

Michelle is a Christian contemporary artist and songwriter. Her dad taught her how to play the guitar when she was in the eighth grade and she has been playing, singing and writing music ever since.  Faith is a huge part of Michelle’s life.  Many of the songs she has written are in prayer format.  Her music is honest, and through it she portrays that she is weak, fails constantly and has no shame in saying she needs a Savior.  Michelle’s songs feature the hope that Christ has given her. “I thank God for his love and patience.”

Michelle hopes that through her music people can be encouraged in knowing that there is a God out there who loves them unconditionally. So much so that He sent his only son to die for each and every one of us even while we were still sinners. Michelle wrote a song about 10 years ago called Let Your Grace Be Magnified which is her motto she lives by everyday. She hopes people see the difference God is making in her life…everyday.

Michelle has been happily married to her husband Daniel for 2 years. They met and married while living in Smithville, TN and now reside in Texas.

Please check out the video of her song Lord Give Me Strength and read her personal message to you!

The song I am about to play for you is called Lord Give Me Strength.  At the time I wrote it I was at a really low part of my life. You know that feeling when you just want to give up?  Well, I was there.  I was SO discouraged.  I found myself praying Lord give me strength…such strong words…at such a helpless moment..  Oh how I needed him.  I found myself writing the lyrics to this song.  God, as always ever faithful, helped me through what I was going through.  I didn’t go through it alone.
I don’t know what you all may be going through right now, but I can promise you God can get you through it.  Jesus never promised life would be easy and as a matter of fact he said “Life is hard.”  The one thing he DID promise us is that he’d be there every step of the way, through every heartache, through every failure, through our loneliness and shame….He’d be there. Well, I’m so glad you joined me today!  I pray that maybe this song can be an encouragement to you!  God Bless!
